Our Last Day of Vacation...

So I chose to spend my last day of maternity leave with Breck at the Fort Worth Zoo. It is a fantastic zoo and though I know most of these pictures consist of him sleeping in front of the various animals, one day this will be one of his favorite things to do.

 See, he was awake for a few minutes anyway and appears to be enjoying himself!

 We decided to end our perfect day by going and cheering on the Jags for the first time. Hard to tell that his daddy is proud at all, huh?

Fun at the Fair

Brian and I took Breck to the fair. We did it mostly to just get out of the house and hang out, but it turned out to be so much fun for the lil man. He was just looking all around and having a blast! We also checked out cars at the car show because driving this truck is about to kill me (it is really tall and climbing up in it and then hefting his car seat on top of that is not fun) and my miata just isn't going to cut it - sad :(

A Visit from the Grandparents

Breck's Grandma and Grandpa Gammon got to see him when he was three days old, so they came for a visit and he had grown so much in five weeks!

Poor Grandpa's shirt was clean BEFORE he held Breck. The poor child about lives in his bibs because he spits up so much!

4 Week Old Pictures

So here are some of my favorite pics from Breck's 4-week old picture session. I am shocked at how well he can hold his head up (so was the photographer!).

Almost 4 Weeks Old Already!

It's amazing how different Breck seems in such a short time as a few weeks. The last pics I posted were mostly different cute sleeping positions. Now, the boy is awake and playing all the time! And he is such a little cutie! Look at that face!
Breck has such an old man, introspective look on his face as he grabs his imaginary beard! I just love his sweet little sweater vest and cargo pants - such a cutie at church!
So, since the only pic I have of the three of us involved me strapped to an operating table, I thought it was time to take a better family picture! We'll have to work on the whole looking at the camera thing. Breck is not fond of bright lights so the flash makes him look away!

2 Weeks Old Today!

How time flies! I can't believe Breck is already two weeks old today! That is just amazing to me. And he has definitely continued to be easy-going. I love this first picture - it just captures his sweet, sleeping spirit so well! Breck goes to the pediatrician Monday for his 2 week check-up. We are betting he has regained some ounces and returned to his birth weight, but I guess we shall soon see.

Not sure he was loving the experience of his first bath but it has become one of his favorite daily activities (it calms him for bed really well!).






I love it that it looks like he has his hands folded in prayer before his dinner!
